Before starting out online coaching, I offered a two month free trial to a couple of athletes so I could ensure I was delivering coaching in the best way. Below are reviews written by them, talking about their experiences during the trial.

"For the past couple of months I have been undergoing a new experience: being coached towards greater success in duathlon.
Previously my training had been very haphazard, basically involving doing what I felt like on a particular day, be it run, cycle or nothing. This has led to reasonable, though hardly startling, results.
Having responded to a request from Ben Kent for "guinea pigs" for his coaching, I have been rigidly (reasonably!) following a regime prescribed by someone who knows what he is talking about. Although Ben is relatively young (everyone is to me!!), he comes with provenance. Not only is he an accomplished triathlete in his own right, he also has a background in sports science at university: a winning combination.
His programme has obviously had far more structure than anything I have done in the past and, whilst "taxing " at times, has been achievable and well structured towards my needs.
Although the lockdown period has removed the possibility of competition on which to test my increasing fitness, a recent 5K time trial was rewarded with a time 25 seconds faster than anything else I have run for over a year...surely a pointer towards success?
If you are on the lookout for a new triathlon coach I can thoroughly recommend that you consider Ben.

"Thank you for the training program over the last two months.
I needed to get some structure into my training, and that's exactly what you did.
I know I wasn't the 'usual' athlete because I came with my injuries etc, but you managed to work around it.
When I started, my Fatigue was 59, fitness 56 and form 1.
2 months later, my fatigue is 69, fitness is 71 and form is 5.
The numbers speak for themselves, there is some good improvement there.
My fitness peaked at 77, so 56 to 77 is great.
It was really helpful to get back on track and to get some structure back into my training.
Ben was really good at looking at each and every session and commenting on all of them. This gave me confidence that Ben was making sure everything was going to plan and staying on top of the program if it needed changing.
For all those number crunchers out there, when I started with Ben, my fitness on Training peaks was at 56, 2 months later it is sitting at 71 and it peaked at 77. (This is with 4 weeks of no swimming due to lockdown).
