I graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Science in July 2019 from Swansea University, progressing on from the BTEC Extended Diploma I gained at Truro College. I also have an MSc in Business. I am a British Triathlon Level 2 qualified coach and I’d like to believe one of the youngest at this level in the country. I am also working as a Health and Wellbeing assistant at Truro College, where I am delivering a wide range of exercise sessions for staff and students.
I have been competing in Triathlon since 2015, having qualified and raced for the GBR age group team at the ITU World Age Group champs in Chicago in my first year!
In 2018 I thought I’d also attempt the Aquabike discipline, qualifying for the ETU Multisport festival in Ibiza. This race is probably my proudest moment in sport, having been ill with tonsillitis in the days leading up to the race and strongly considered pulling out. However I managed to push through to claim bronze in my age group! I then backed this up with a silver the next year in Targu Mures, Romania, also finishing 7th overall.
In Bilbao in 2022 I finally managed to complete the medal set and get that elusive gold medal!
Before taking up Triathlon I was a club swimmer, reaching regional level in both Breaststroke and Individual Medley. Ironically I was always a sprinter and hated long distance endurance events. However I made the move into Triathlon as I already cycled, having taken it up for a bit of fun on the weekend after Bradley Wiggins 2012 Tour De France and Olympic wins. So I only had to add the run and here I am today!
Over 75 Triathlons
7 years competing Internationally and representing GB Age Group Triathlon
